Address & service areas

Do I need an address if I only sell online?

Yes, but it is not published. It is what places you in local results.

Yes. The form requires a valid address whichever location type you pick.

The reason is that most searching on a directory is local — “near me”, a city name, a distance filter. Without coordinates a listing sits outside all of it. Choosing Online / Virtual keeps the address private while still letting people in your area find you.

What the address is used for

  • Placing you in “near me” and distance searches.
  • Putting you in results for your city.
  • Nothing else, if you chose Online / Virtual.

What is shown publicly

With Online / Virtual, nothing. No street, no map, no pin. The form states it plainly: “My address stays private.”

Skipping the address is not an option — the form refuses with “Please select a valid address from the suggestions.”
