My logo looks stretched or cropped

Use a square image. Wide logos are squeezed into a square frame.

The logo frame is square — the form says “Use a square image for the best result.”

If your logo is wide, put it on a square canvas with empty space to left and right rather than letting it be squashed. A PNG with a transparent background is best.

The fix

  1. Open your logo in any image editor.
  2. Create a square canvas — 800 × 800 is ample.
  3. Place the logo in the middle with empty space to the left and right.
  4. Export as PNG with a transparent background.
  5. Upload it again.

Why a square

The frame is square, so a wide logo is either squeezed or cropped. Adding your own empty space is what stops the site choosing for you.

Use Remove to clear the old file before uploading the new one.
